Osbourne: New, flexible NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ carrier board

Introducing OSBOURNE – the new NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin carrier board from Diamond Systems!

Featuring interchangeable I/O adapters, multiple expansion sockets, and a PCIe slot connector

AGX Orin is the new top-of-the-line Jetson GPU / AI compute module from NVIDIA. It features up to 275 TOPS (tera-operations per second) and up to 5x the performance of the previous AGX Xavier module (Nvidia test results). Diamond’s Osbourne carrier board provides access to all the I/O and compute capabilities of Orin in a compact and rugged design that is suitable for both commercial and rugged applications.

Built-in I/O includes 1 1/10Gb Ethernet port + 1 optional 1Gb Ethernet port; 3 USB 3.2 / 2.0 ports + 1 fixed USB 2.0 port; 2 RS-232/422/485 + 2 fixed RS-232 serial ports; 2 CAN ports; 8 GPIO 3.3V lines; 1 HDMI port; Audio I/O; and auxiliary I2C and SPI ports.

Instead of locking customers into a single option for I/O connectors, Osbourne features a unique single high-speed “I/O concentrator” connector that carries all I/O signals on and off the board. A variety of pluggable I/O adapters gives you the choice of I/O connectors that best fit your application. Currently available adapters include one with commercial style connectors (RJ-45, HDMI, DB9, USB type A) and one with rugged MIL-DTL-38999 connectors. A design guide is also available to help you design and build your own adapter. In this way Osbourne can be adapted to any embedded application seeking to take advantage of NVIDIA’s newest and highest performance Jetson GPU module.
